Edition 2025 — Alfonso d'Aragona in Agropoli

In 2025, the Alfonso d'Aragona Historical Re-enactment took place over two evenings, Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22, in the historic centre of Agropoli starting at 6:30 PM, with the procession scheduled around 8:00 PM. The public was transported back to 1487, the year of the Duke of Calabria's visit to the castle, amidst costumed processions, musicians, jugglers, and an exhibition of ancient torture instruments. A food area was active on both evenings. Free admission.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the re-enactment was included in the Fuori le Mura festival, the cultural project supported by the Municipality of Agropoli and Vivi Agropoli, and was spread over two consecutive evenings, August 21 and 22, 2025, with activities starting from 6:30 PM in the historic centre.

The theme remained the same as always: the visit of Alfonso d'Aragona to the Agropoli castle in 1487. The historic centre was transformed into a 15th-century village with costumed processions, musicians, jugglers, and demonstrations of ancient torture instruments, while the gastronomic area managed by «I Giorni dell'Affamato» accompanied the two evenings.

The organisation was entrusted to Cantiere Mati, with artistic direction by Antonio Speranza. All events were free and open to the public, confirming the popular formula that has helped the event grow since its first edition in 2022.
