Alberto's Great Cinema

In 2025, the summer festival of the Alberto Sordi Museum Foundation was titled Moralists, wheeler-dealers, priests in the mask of Alberto Sordi. From June 15 to 25, every evening at 9:00 PM, eleven masterpieces of Italian cinema starring Sordi and directed by, among others, Dino Risi, Luigi Zampa, Steno, and the actor himself, were screened for free in the garden of the villa on Via Claudio Marcello, just a stone's throw from the Baths of Caracalla. The festival, curated by Luca Verdone, opened with "Il vedovo" (1959) by Dino Risi. In this edition as well, admission was free with mandatory booking, and in case of rain, screenings were held in the Villa's Theater.
