Edition 2025 — Agorà

The fourteenth edition of Agorà - Theatre and Music at the Roots took place from August 31 to November 19, 2025, with over thirty mostly free events. Under the artistic direction of Chiara Casarico, the festival brought theatre, folk music, circus, and clowning to the outskirts of Rome and a dozen towns in the provinces of Viterbo, Rieti, Frosinone, and Latina, featuring national premieres and new productions.

Fourteenth edition, 2025

The 2025 edition of Agorà - Theatre and Music at the Roots spanned almost three months, from August 31 to November 19, with more than thirty appointments. The Roman stages were concentrated at the Casal de' Pazzi Museum and the Teatro del Lido in Ostia; outside the city, the festival reached Formello, Cervara di Roma, Percile, Palombara Sabina, Vetralla, Montopoli di Sabina, Ripi, Collevecchio, and Fondi.

Among the most followed moments: the Confini Labili concert by Radicanto at the Casal de' Pazzi Museum (October 17), the comedy Tre civette sul Comò in the garden of the senior center (October 20), Theatre in Jazz at the Municipal Theatre of Formello (October 26), the contemporary circus show In principio c'era dedicated to the theme of femicide (October 28), and the children's show Storie di fate, ciliegi e cavalieri blu, based on Roberto Piumini, at the Teatro del Combattente in Collevecchio (October 31).

Participants included Saverio La Ruina, Maria Moramarco, Rita Superbi, Riccardo Massai, and Antonella Caldarella, among others. Alongside the shows, the Sillabario workshop involved high school students from Ostia on the centenary of Pier Paolo Pasolini. Admission was free for most events, with some titles at €10 full price and €8 reduced.
