Edition 2025 — Afrosiciliana
Afrosiciliana 2025: the first edition
The first edition of Afrosiciliana was held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Villa Trabia, in the heart of Palermo, marking the debut of an event designed to create synergies and bridges between Sicily and Africa.
The day, promoted by the Coordination of African Consuls of the Consular Corps of Palermo together with the Rotary Club Mondello and the Municipality of Palermo, featured a morning talk between businesses and African consulates for commercial and professional collaborations, followed throughout the day by craft stalls, cooking shows with authentic African cuisines, and musical performances. In the afternoon, a discussion on peace and cooperation among peoples concluded with a collective prayer.
The event recorded a large turnout of the public and the numerous African communities residing in Sicily, laying the foundations for the second edition, which moved to Monreale in 2026.
