The historic Dinghy class regatta in the sea of Chioggia, since 1968
The Adriatic Trophy is a traditional regatta dedicated to the Dinghy class, the elegant one-design dinghy loved by sailors of all ages. Organized by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia, in the province of Venice, it is one of the historic events of Chioggia sailing.
The first edition of the Adriatic Trophy dates back to 1968, making it one of the longest-running sailing events in the lagoon city. Over half a century of history that testifies to the deep bond between Chioggia and sailing, and in particular the affection of the local sailing community for the Dinghy class.
The regatta takes place in the sea off Chioggia, on the Adriatic, and brings together the Dinghy fleet in a competition that combines technique, tradition, and passion for one of the most fascinating dinghies in the Italian sailing scene.
The Adriatic Trophy 2026 is scheduled for August 22-23, as confirmed by the 2026 Chioggia sailing calendar, and is dedicated to the Dinghy fleet, organized by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia.
The regatta, one of the oldest in local sailing (first edition in 1968), takes place in the sea off Chioggia, on the Adriatic, bringing together the Dinghy fleet in a competition that combines technique and tradition.
The notice of race and detailed schedule are published by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia.
Chioggia is reachable by car via the SS309 Romea. By train to Venice or Rovigo, then by bus. The regatta can be watched from the port banks and the dam.
