Edition 2025 — Bell Fair

In 2025, the Addolorata Fair returned to Maglie on the Friday before Palm Sunday, bringing Viale della Madonna Addolorata and Piazza Tamborino to life. As is tradition, the stalls displayed bells, tiny bells, whistles, and terracotta trozzule, alongside local panari baskets and other Salento crafts, drawing pilgrims, families, and visitors on the day that marks the beginning of the Holy Week rites.

The 2025 edition of the Bell Fair took place on the traditional day, the Friday before Palm Sunday, along Viale della Madonna Addolorata and Piazza Tamborino in Maglie, in the province of Lecce.

As every year, the stalls offered bells, whistles, and terracotta trozzule, along with typical panari baskets and other local artisanal products. The event, which has its roots in the 1860 decree, confirmed its role as a popular and devotional prelude to the Holy Week in Maglie, with a crowd of curious visitors and families walking along the festive avenue.
