Edition 2025 — Abruzzo Carnival

The 70th edition of the Abruzzo Carnival celebrated a historic milestone in Francavilla al Mare, with parades on Sunday, February 23, Sunday, March 2, and Shrove Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Six allegorical floats brought the town center to life, featuring a new fireworks display to celebrate the event's seventieth anniversary.

Abruzzo Carnival 2025 — 70th Edition

In 2025, the Abruzzo Carnival in Francavilla al Mare celebrated its 70th edition, a milestone marked by three days of parades: Sunday, February 23, Sunday, March 2, and Shrove Tuesday, March 4, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM from the train station square.

Six allegorical floats competed: Lurré (dedicated to King Patanello), The Space Cat, Eco-Monster, Viva Las Vegas, The Dark Knight, and Tropicana, accompanied by live music, masked groups, and choreography. To celebrate the event's seventieth anniversary, this edition introduced a fireworks display as a special novelty.
