Abbacchio Festival

2025 Edition

The 43rd Abbacchio Festival was held from September 5 to 7, 2025 in the historic center of Roiate, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital. For three days, the squares and alleys of the village were filled with the scent of roasted lamb, with the Pro Loco Roiate food stalls open for lunch starting at 12:30 PM and for dinner from 7:00 PM.

The menu featured traditional Roiate dishes: abbacchio a scottadito and alla cacciatora, rustic appetizers, homemade first courses, sausage and beans, and artisanal desserts. The evenings were enlivened by live music and dancing in the village squares, while during the day the village opened up to visitors with walks and activities organized by volunteers. Admission to the event remained free, with only food and drinks for purchase.
