Abakainon Festival

The first edition of the Abakainon Festival was held in June 2025 in Tripi, in the province of Messina, creating an event entirely dedicated to rediscovering the roots of the ancient Sicel-Greek city of Abakainon.

The inaugural program included the opening of the Santi Furnari Archaeological Museum, the Agora-Forum, and the Monumental Necropolis, accompanied by guided tours, the children's painting workshop "The Gold of Ancient Abakainon," and the presentation of the Tripi-Abakainon Cuddura with a related show cooking session. The day concluded with the Greek Symposium, a re-enactment of an ancient Greek banquet, and the Abakainon Concert in Piazza San Gaetano, laying the foundations for an event destined to be repeated in the following years.
