A Visària – Sacred Representation of the Passion of Christ

The 2025 edition of "A Visària" renewed the appointment with one of the most deeply felt traditions of Holy Week in the Madonie. In the historic center of San Mauro Castelverde (Province of Palermo), over a hundred performers brought the scenes of the Passion to life along a traveling route that traces the stations of the Via Crucis.

As per tradition, the event was organized by the "L'Eremo" Cultural and Musical Association in collaboration with the Municipality and the Parish, with free admission. The involvement of local youths and the evocative nature of the locations — from the squares to the castle ruins — confirmed the event's strong roots in the identity of the San Mauro community.
