44th Le Colline del Secchia

2025 Edition

On June 8, 2025, Castellarano hosted the 43rd edition of Le Colline del Secchia, a classic running event in the Reggio Emilia area, also popular with athletes from Modena. Despite temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, around 850 athletes participated in the event: 200 competitive runners competed in the 11 km competitive course, while amateurs could choose from three non-competitive walk routes, from 3 to 11 km.

The competitive race was won by Saimir Xhemalaj, who finished in 40'17", setting the best time since the course was modified, and by Eleonora Chiara Turrini in the women's category, on a mixed road and dirt route made even more selective by the central climb.
