Three days of flag-wavers, musketeers, falconers, camps, and fire shows drew approximately 27,000 visitors, with over 15,000 on Saturday alone.

The 9th edition: record numbers for Montemiletto

The ninth edition of the re-enactment, scheduled from September 5 to 7, 2025, marked the best participation result for the Irpinian event: approximately 27,000 visitors over the three days, with over 15,000 visitors on Saturday, September 6 alone and about 5,000 people who visited the Castello della Leonessa.

The 2025 edition expanded the route of the battle scenes: the historical procession started from Piazza IV Novembre to reach the foot of the castle and conclude at the Porta della Terra. The program featured the flag-wavers of Altavilla, the musketeers of Cava, the medieval camp of the La Rosa e la Spada company, skill games by falconers, jesters and minstrels of the village, musicians, medieval dances, magic acts, and fire shows. Food and wine stands opened from 8:00 PM, with the Sunday medieval lunch available by reservation.

The president of the Pro Loco Mons Militum, Florindo Garofalo, highlighted the increasing commitment required for the organization and the satisfaction with the public's response. Alongside the performances, the edition also hosted a discussion dedicated to the relationship between historical re-enactments and tourism.
