Edition 2025 — Zagarolo Carnival
The 2025 Zagarolo Carnival
The 2025 edition of the Zagarolo Carnival took place between Sunday, February 23, and Shrove Tuesday, March 4, transforming the streets of Zagarolo, in the province of Rome, into an open-air stage. On the two parade Sundays, February 23 and March 2 from 3:00 PM, spectacular floats and masked groups crossed the historic center amidst music and confetti. On Thursday, February 27, from 9:30 AM, the protagonists were the local school children with the traditional masked school parade, while on Saturday, March 1, the hamlet came alive with 'Valle Martella in Mask'. The grand finale on Tuesday, March 4, from 4:30 PM, closed the festival with shows and a final explosion of color.
Accompanying the event were creative workshops for children on February 12, 19, and 26 at the Spazio Officine CreAttive in Palazzo Rospigliosi. The festival, promoted by the City of Zagarolo with the Pro Loco and local associations, was free and open to all.
