Edition 2025 — Year-End Torchlight Procession

The 2025 edition of the Year-End Torchlight Procession was held on the night of December 30, 2025, in Civitella Alfedena. Torchbearers gathered at 7:30 PM in Piazza Plebiscito and, with hiking guides, ascended the Val di Rose ridge. From 9:30 PM, the village glowed only by torchlight, with the spectacle observable from the Piazzale di Santa Lucia amidst bonfires, hot chocolate, and mulled wine offered by the Association.

2025 Year-End Torchlight Procession

On the night of December 30, 2025, Civitella Alfedena renewed its most beloved tradition. From 7:30 PM, torchbearers met in Piazza Plebiscito to begin the ascent along the Val di Rose, creating the customary fiery serpents that reunited in the historic center. From 9:30 PM, torches in the windows illuminated the entire village, while spectators watched from the Piazzale di Santa Lucia, warmed by bonfires and hot drinks offered by the organizers. The event was accompanied by a visit to the Nativity Scene in the Village, once again confirming the strong bond between the community and this tradition born in 1989.
