Edition 2025 — XTERRA Lake Scanno

The 2025 edition of XTERRA Lake Scanno took place on July 26th and 27th on the shores of Lake Scanno (AQ), in Abruzzo. As the second stage of the XTERRA circuit in Italy, the race saw international participation with athletes from over thirty countries, confirming its reputation as one of the most demanding courses in Europe, featuring open water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running.

XTERRA Lake Scanno 2025

The 2025 edition, held on July 26th and 27th, solidified Scanno as one of the most spectacular stops on the XTERRA circuit. On the heart-shaped lake in the town of Scanno, Abruzzo, over three hundred triathletes competed in the Full Distance, Sprint, and Super Sprint categories.

With long, steep climbs reaching the ski slopes on the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park, the track confirmed its reputation as one of the toughest races on the continent. The international participation, with athletes from more than thirty nations, strengthened the role of Abruzzo as a premier destination for outdoor sports.
