Edition 2025 — WWF Oasis Spring Cascate del Rio Verde

In 2025, the Cascate del Rio Verde in Borrello participated in the WWF Oasis Spring, the initiative that took place in Abruzzo from April 21 to June 5, involving six oases. The reserve welcomed visitors, families, and enthusiasts with openings, guided tours, and hikes among the highest waterfalls in the Apennines, amidst the beech and silver fir forests of the province of Chieti.

2025 Edition

The 2025 WWF Oasis Spring animated Abruzzo from April 21 to June 5, involving six regional protected areas. Among these, the Cascate del Rio Verde Regional Nature Reserve in Borrello, in the province of Chieti, opened its doors to guided hikes, family activities, and days dedicated to discovering protected nature.

Immersed in the spectacular landscape of the middle Sangro, the reserve offered visitors the opportunity to admire the three drops of the Rio Verde and to participate in environmental education activities organized with the WWF and local centers.
