The World Tournament Boys League had already chosen Nettuno as its Italian venue before the 2026 edition, which represents the third time the event has been held in the city within the Metropolitan City of Rome. Previous editions took place entirely on Nettuno's facilities, with matches concentrated on the local club's historic diamonds and using a similar format: international youth selections, multiple matches per day, and a week of full immersion in baseball.

The continuity of the event in Nettuno is explained by the city's own identity, recognized as the cradle of Italian baseball and home to one of the most titled clubs on the peninsula. Detailed information on dates, participating teams, and results of previous editions has not been publicly released; the scale of the event grew in 2026 with the addition of Anzio as a co-host city and an expanded grid of twelve teams.
