Edition 2025 — Wood Symposium

In 2025, Sillano hosted the Wood Sculpture Symposium in memory of Luciano Bertolini, confirming the event that has attracted sculptors from all over Italy to the village square for years. Between the competition, school workshops, and children's activities on the environment, the day combined art, community, and education, with free admission.

The 2025 edition of the Wood Sculpture Symposium renewed in Sillano, in the Garfagnana, an event now deeply rooted in the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Sillano Giuncugnano (LU). In the main square of the village, wood sculptors arriving from various Italian regions competed live, creating their works on an assigned theme under the curious gaze of residents and visitors.

As in previous editions, a jury evaluated the works and awarded the best one, with the presentation of the special prize dedicated to the memory of Dr. Luciano Bertolini. There was no shortage of educational workshops for schools and a prize competition for children, dedicated to the theme of environmental protection. Admission was free.
