Edition 2025 — WOMAD Rome

2025 marks the start of the two-year project through which WOMAD Rome was selected for the municipal 'Roma Creativa 365' call, dedicated to cultural activities across the capital's districts. The international world music brand conceived by Peter Gabriel, following its 2023 Roman debut at Villa Ada, looks to the X Municipality and the Ostia coast as a new stage for concerts, workshops, and dances from around the world.

The 2025 edition of WOMAD Rome is part of the Roma Creativa 365 call, through which the City of Rome supports the city's cultural programs for 2025 and 2026. The project, managed by the company Helikonia Indi Edizioni Musicali ed Eventi, brings the spirit of the festival founded by Peter Gabriel to the X Municipality: a meeting of music, arts, and dance from different continents.

Faithful to the WOMAD formula, the offering combines concerts by international artists, workshops for adults and children, and spaces dedicated to global cuisines, with the goal of transforming the Roman coast into a place of intercultural dialogue. Ostia and the X Municipality, in Lazio, thus confirm their place as hubs of the capital's summer cultural offerings.
