Winter Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle

The 2025 winter edition of the Feast of Saint Paul the Apostle in Palazzolo Acreide, in the province of Syracuse, renewed the centuries-old tradition of the patron saint. On January 25th, 2025, the day of the Saint's Conversion, after the solemn evening Mass, the 16th-century statue emerged from the Basilica for the Sciuta, welcomed by fireworks and a shower of colorful 'nzareddi'. The procession of the simulacrum and reliquary traversed the historic center, accompanied by the brass band and the participation of the 'paolesi'. The festivities concluded with the octave on February 1st and the veiling of the statue, confirming the festival as one of the most deeply felt identity rituals of the Val di Noto.
