Wings for Life World Run – Palermo Mondello

The 2025 edition of the Wings for Life World Run in Palermo took place on Sunday, May 4, starting from the Club Canottieri Roggero di Lauria and following a route along the picturesque Mondello seafront, in the Municipality of Palermo. As in all stages around the world, runners started at 1:00 PM local time; thirty minutes later, the virtual Catcher Car was activated, progressively increasing its speed until it caught up with the participants.

The Palermo track, covering about 4 kilometers along the Mondello coast, confirmed the inclusive nature of the event, with amateur runners and wheelchair participants united by the same goal: to run for those who cannot and to support spinal cord injury research. The event, part of the largest charity run in the world, attracted numerous participants, contributing to the global fundraising of the Wings for Life Foundation.
