Wild Herb Gatherers' Week

The first edition of the Wild Herb Gatherers' Week took place in Montenerodomo (CH), at the Iuvanum Archaeological Park, from June 20 to 28, 2025. Organized as part of the Benedetto Croce and Abruzzo Literary Park, the event offered an itinerant immersion into the Biodiversity Valley at the foot of the eastern Maiella.

Guided by Maria Sonia Baldoni and local keepers of traditional knowledge, participants took part in identification and foraging trails, herbal workshops and traditional preparations, meetings with local tradition guardians, summer solstice ceremonies, and St. John's Eve rituals, as well as gastronomic experiences featuring local herbs and products. A week of nature, memory, and community in the heart of the Abruzzo mountains.
