Wild Boar Pappardelle Festival 2025

The 2025 edition was held on August 13th in Cesoli (Ortona dei Marsi, in the province of L'Aquila), confirming the traditional Ferragosto appointment in the upper Giovenco Valley. The festival, with free admission, featured handmade pappardelle with wild boar ragù, slow-cooked according to the Marsican peasant recipe.

In addition to the pappardelle, the food stalls offered arrosticini, sandwiches, watermelon, and tastings of local wines. The evening was enlivened by live music and dancing, in the convivial atmosphere typical of village festivals. The event was organized by the Pro Loco Monte Faito APS as part of the summer event calendar of the Municipality of Ortona dei Marsi.
