Edition 2025 — Wheat Festival

The 2025 edition of the Wheat Festival confirmed the growing success of the Chiaramonte Gulfi event, dedicated to the rediscovery of ancient Sicilian grains and Iblean peasant culture. The historic center hosted cart processions, traditional bread-making demonstrations, craft markets, tastings, and folk performances, in a journey that combined rural memory, gastronomy, and the identity of the Ragusa province territory.

Wheat Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Wheat Festival represented another step in the growth of this event organized in Chiaramonte Gulfi by the Associazione Culturale Femminile 8 Marzo. On that occasion, the historic center of the Iblean town hosted tastings of ancient grains from the Ragusa area, markets featuring local products and crafts, bread-making demonstrations using traditional techniques, and performances by folk groups.

The festival confirmed its commitment to promoting Sicilian peasant civilization and the bond between the village in the Iblei Mountains and its cereal-growing tradition, setting the stage for the fourth edition in 2026.
