Edition 2025 — Week of Cultures

The 14th edition of the Week of Cultures took place in Palermo from May 24 to June 1, 2025, with over 120 events including exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances, screenings, workshops, and meetings. Sponsored by the City of Palermo and supported by the Department of Culture, the edition was dedicated to Eliana Calandra, the historic director of the Historical Archive and the Pitrè Museum.

14th edition: over 120 events in Palermo

The 2025 edition of the Week of Cultures offered a particularly rich programme, with more than 120 events spread across Palermo and its surroundings from May 24 to June 1. The event, dedicated to the memory of Eliana Calandra, ranged from painting and photography exhibitions to theatrical performances, concerts, and meetings dedicated to well-being.

The theatre programme opened on May 24 with "Disamistade" by the C.A.T. company, a dance-theatre show inspired by the myth of Prometheus. Among the most evocative appointments was the socio-cultural walk "Arruspigghiati" in the Sperone district, starting from the "Sangu e Latti" mural. The closing, on June 1, featured "Lisistrata. 'A spirugghiasciarre", a Sicilian adaptation of Aristophanes' comedy, performed at sunset in the Archaeological Park of Solunto.
