Wedding of the Sea

The 2025 edition of the Wedding of the Sea, the 581st, welcomed Pinzolo-Madonna di Campiglio, in Trentino, as the guest city, linked to Cervia by long-standing tourist relations. The event opened on Friday, May 30, with the concert by the Grande Orchestra Città di Cervia in Piazza Garibaldi. On Saturday, May 31, the Ring Ceremony saw the exchange of gifts between the cities and the presentation of the protagonists, Ilary Fontana as Lady of the Ring and Serio Goffi as Podestà.

Sunday, the main day, began at 10 AM with the Ring Trophy, an archery tournament, followed by the heritage walk "Sea and Fishing". In the afternoon, after the performances and the blessing of the ring, the historical procession reached the canal port for the renewal of the symbolic marriage between Cervia and the Adriatic, broadcast live on two giant screens.
