Walnut and Nut Festival

The debut of the Walnut and Nut Festival in Villanova Solaro, from September 11 to 15, 2025, was a success that exceeded expectations. Organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco for the patronal feast, the event attracted thousands of visitors from Cuneo, Varese, Liguria, and neighboring provinces.

Gastronomy was the absolute star: nearly 3,000 meals served across four sessions, with seven Pro Loco associations engaged in the Arena del Gusto, offering traditional menus in a street food format. Among the most popular events was the "Mangirula" cooking competition, won by the very young Matteo Reviglio. The program was completed by the "Il legno ti parla" exhibition dedicated to woodworkers and sculptors, a painting exhibition in the library, musical performances for families, and the inauguration of two defibrillators in the area.
