Edition 2025 — Walking the Monferrato
The 2025 edition of the Frassinello-Olivola stage took place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, concluding the spring season of Walking the Monferrato. The meeting was scheduled for 8:45 AM in Piazza Regina Margherita in Frassinello Monferrato, with departure at 9:00 AM.
Accompanied by the professional guide Anna Maria Bruno, participants crossed the Frassinello countryside to the church of San Pietro e Paolo in Olivola, set in a panoramic position among the vineyards, then reached the Giant Bench of Olivola, descended towards the Curella spring valley, and climbed back up to Moleto, passing the Romanesque church of San Michele, up to the Belvedere degli Otto Tigli and the historic center of Ottiglio.
The walk commemorated the 2014 UNESCO recognition for the Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont. The three administrations of Frassinello, Olivola, and Ottiglio, with the collaboration of the Nuova Pro Loco Ottigliese, organized the final Monferrato-style refreshment, with a free shuttle for the return to Frassinello.
