Edition 2025 — Waiting for the Battle
From July 4 to 6, 2025, the historic center of Cascina returned to the Middle Ages with "Waiting for the Battle," the festival inspired by the Battle of Cascina of 1364. The event marked the return of the Cascina festival after several years of absence.
On Friday, July 4, fencing and medieval combat demonstrations kicked off in Piazza dei Caduti, while throughout the weekend Corso Matteotti came alive with street artists, merchants, shows, taverns, and food stalls. The program featured historical processions, armored combat, archery tournaments, jugglers, falconers, dancers, and live music. The event, organized by the Arcieri Cascinesi Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Cascina, the Province of Pisa, and the Tuscany Region, attracted visitors and re-enactment enthusiasts from all over Tuscany.
