Edition 2025 — Waiting for St. John

The 2025 edition of Aspettando S. Giovanni took place on June 13, 2025, in Piazza Spuntiglia in Maserno di Montese (MO), kicking off the celebrations for St. John the Baptist. The local shopkeepers, with the Pro Loco Montese, set up the usual food and wine tour with live music, while the parish feast continued in the following days with food stands and the traditional Maserno Olympics.

In 2025, Waiting for St. John was held on Friday, June 13, in Piazza Spuntiglia in Maserno, a hamlet of the Municipality of Montese (MO). From 6 PM to 7 PM, the local shopkeepers enlivened the square with stands and gastronomic stops, accompanied by live music and an orchestra for folk dancing.

The event opened the celebrations for St. John the Baptist, which continued with the parish feast and, the following day, with the traditional Maserno Olympics, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished events of the summer in the Modenese Apennines.
