Waiting for Saint John - Festival of Ancient Flavors

2025 Edition

The festival was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 8:30 PM in Piazza XX Settembre, which was transformed for the occasion into a large open-air banquet. The menu, accessible with a single ticket, included olives, sun-dried tomatoes, pecorino, ricotta, mini mozzarella balls, caponata, pani cunzatu, pizzas, sausage, baked pasta, 'Mpanate, chickpeas, fruit, traditional desserts, and local wine.

The evening was enlivened by the live music of Nuccio Castelli. The event, dedicated to the memory of Father Calogero Montana, anticipated the celebrations for the patron saint, Saint John the Baptist, celebrating conviviality and the authentic flavors of Sicilian tradition.
