The Middle Ages come alive at Villa Draghi
Waiting for Berta's Time is the medieval day that takes place at the rustic of Villa Draghi, in Montegrotto Terme, in the heart of the Euganean Hills in the province of Padua. Organized by APS Berta with the patronage of the Municipality, it is the preview of the historical re-enactment "Berta's Time", the great medieval event that animates the city in September.
A camp from another era
For an entire day, the park of Villa Draghi hosts a medieval camp where you can relive the daily life of the time: demonstrations of woodworking, discovery of combat weapons, curiosities about hygiene and daily life, and workshops dedicated to medieval writing, weaving, and numismatics.
Games, archery, and legend
There are also historical games for children and archery, available from late morning. The event recalls the legend of Berta, deeply linked to Montegrotto Terme, and guides visitors towards the main re-enactment in the autumn. For those visiting the Euganean Hills and the area's famous thermal baths, it is an opportunity to combine history, nature, and culture in a suggestive setting.

The 2026 edition of Waiting for Berta's Time takes place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the rustic of Villa Draghi, in Montegrotto Terme, from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The day, organized by APS Berta with the patronage of the Municipality, offers a medieval camp with demonstrations and workshops, and serves as a preview for the great re-enactment "Berta's Time" scheduled for September 2026.
Admission is free. The guided experience "Villa Draghi Experience Special" with medieval lunch is also available by reservation.
