Vulcani-Etna Festival 2025: "Unforgettable Lands"

The third edition of the Vulcani-Etna Festival was held in Trecastagni from June 27 to 29, 2025, under the title "Unforgettable Lands". Organized by the Trecastagni Patrimonio dell'Etna Foundation and directed by Giuseppe Riggio, the edition combined scientific outreach, art, and the identity of the Etnean territory.

Highlights included: the introductory course on volcanism coordinated by Marco Viccaro and the AIV, a talk by Eugenio Privitera (INGV Catania) on alert systems for active volcanoes, the participatory theater experiment "Interview with Etna" with Maria Rita Sgarlato and Alberto Abbadessa, a tribute to the Etnean lyrics of Franco Battiato interpreted by Rita Botto, and the national premiere of the documentary "While Everything Moves. The Pizzi Deneri Volcanological Observatory" by Pasquale Marino. The event was held under the patronage of the INGV, the Sicilian Region, the ARS, the Municipality of Trecastagni, and the AIV.
