Edition 2025 — Voltigno Horse Transhumance

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the spring edition of the Voltigno Horse Transhumance and Shepherd's Sdijuno took place in Carpineto della Nora (PE). Meeting of the transhumance at Bar Red Scorpion at 9:00 AM, transfer to the Tricalle area, and start of the transhumance towards the Voltigno plateau at 10:00 AM, with arrival and shepherd's sdijuno from 12:30 PM. An immersion into Abruzzo pastoralism within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.

The 2025 edition of the Voltigno Horse Transhumance took place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Carpineto della Nora (PE), within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The meeting of the transhumance occurred at Bar Red Scorpion at 9:00 AM, followed by the transfer to the Tricalle area. At 10:00 AM, the horse transhumance towards the Voltigno plateau began, culminating at 12:30 PM with the shepherd's sdijuno, the farmers' breakfast based on typical mountain products. The initiative, managed by Wolftour Discover Abruzzo, combined hiking, nature, and pastoral tradition.

Adults €35; youths 11-17 years €20; children 4-10 years €10. Discounts for groups, school trips, and families. Booking mandatory.
