Edition 2025 — Volterra Fantasy Film Festival

The fifth edition of the Volterra Fantasy Film Festival confirmed the international appeal of this showcase dedicated to fantasy and sci-fi short films. The award ceremony, the Fantasy Awards Night, was held at the theater-cinema in Montecatini Val di Cecina, in the Val di Cecina region. The first prize was awarded to the short film "Le altre Vite" by Nicolò Folin.

Volterra Fantasy Film Festival 2025

The fifth edition of the Volterra Fantasy Film Festival, organized by the Etruria Pro Association, brought together fans of fantastic cinema in Volterra and the Val di Cecina area. The closing ceremony, the Fantasy Awards Night, took place at the theater-cinema of Montecatini Val di Cecina, in the province of Pisa.

The first prize was awarded to "Le altre Vite", directed by Nicolò Folin. Second place went to the animated short film "The Shadow of Dawn" by Estonian director Olga Stalev, while the third prize was won by "Mazarol" by Lorenzo Cassol. This edition confirmed the growing international participation and the focus on animated short films, in an event that continues to promote Tuscany and its historic villages.
