Edition 2025 — Volo dell'Angelo
In the 2025 edition, the Volo dell'Angelo took place in St. Mark's Square, confirming the ritual that opens the Venice Carnival: the descent of the Maria from the top of St. Mark's Campanile to the centre of the square, in front of a crowd of spectators and masks. As every year, the event was free and followed by international television, in the unique setting of the square overlooking the basilica and the Doge's Palace.

The 2025 day culminated with the Volo dell'Angelo in St. Mark's Square, around midday, as part of the general programme of the Venice Carnival.
