Edition 2025 — Volo del Grande Falco

With the May 17, 2025 edition, the Volo del Grande Falco brought the FITAST federation and a national-level historical archery tournament to the Island of Elba for the first time. The competition took place in Portoferraio, in the Linguella archaeological area and the Grigolo zone, with fourteen associations from all over Italy and medieval targets set up among the seaside walls.

The May 17, 2025 edition marked an important milestone for Elban historical archery: for the first time, the FITAST federation arrived in Portoferraio with a tournament valid at the national level. The competition took place in the Linguella archaeological area and the Grigolo zone, with medieval targets created by the ASD Gli Archi del Grande Falco.

Fourteen historical archery associations from all over Italy participated, many from Central Italy, in a setting made evocative by the ancient fortifications overlooking the sea. The event was one of the qualifying rounds for the National Championship final.
