Vitorchiano Film Festival

A sold-out debut

The first edition of the Vitorchiano Film Festival, held from July 25 to 27, 2025, was sold out for all three evenings at the Giardino Belvedere di Sant'Agnese, in the village in the province of Viterbo. Out of over 50 entries, eight short films reached the final stage of the competition, artistically directed by Federico Paolini.

The Brancaleone d'oro for Best Short Film was awarded to "Hold on", while "Quello che non ti ho detto" won numerous accolades, including the Critics' Award and the Audience Award. Stefano Fresi was awarded Best Actor for "L'ultimo ingrediente" and Milena Vukotic as Best Actress for "Cocci", a short film that also won for cinematography and production. The Giorgio Capitani Award went to "Il rumore di un miracolo" and the Vitorchiano Award to "Pizza time".

Mayor Ruggero Grassotti highlighted the dual goal achieved: promoting independent cinema and enhancing the local area, with the support of the Lazio Region, the Province of Viterbo, and local sponsors.
