Edition 2025 — Virtuoso & Belcanto

The tenth edition of the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival celebrated the first ten years of the event with over sixty public events in Lucca. Concerts, masterclasses, exhibitions, and meetings animated the Real Collegio, Palazzo Pfanner, and city churches, with pianist Paul Ji as artist-in-residence.

The 2025 edition, the tenth in the history of the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival, marked an important milestone by celebrating the first ten years of the event. From July 21 to August 3, over sixty public events transformed Lucca into the international capital of classical music.

The opening concert featured pianist Paul Ji, artist-in-residence, with music by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Chopin. Among the most anticipated events were the Arda Quartet and a Vivaldi Focus conducted by Federico Maria Sardelli on July 26, and the celebratory concert for the festival's tenth anniversary with tenor Giorgio Berrugi and Riccardo Cecchetti on July 27. Historic venues, from the Real Collegio to Palazzo Pfanner and the Church of San Romano, hosted a rich program of concerts, masterclasses, exhibitions, and meetings.
