Edition 2025 — Vinschger Literaturtage

2025 was the year of the Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis, the sister event to the Vinschger Literaturtage. The 20th-anniversary award ceremony took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Markuskirche in Lasa/Laas: the winner was Christina König with her debut novel Alles, was du wolltest, which includes a residency during the 2026 Literaturtage.

In 2025, the "odd" year of the biennial cycle, Lasa/Laas did not host the Vinschger Literaturtage, but rather the event that alternates with it: the Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis, the European award for debut novels in the German language.

The 20th-anniversary ceremony took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Markuskirche (St. Mark's Church) in Lasa. Five finalists read from their works before the international jury and the public. The winner was Christina König (born in Linz in 1993) with the novel Alles, was du wolltest (Otto Müller Verlag), awarded for the precision of her gaze and the originality of her narrative.

In addition to the cash prize supported by the Province of Bolzano, the winner was awarded a writing and reading residency in Lasa as part of the Vinschger Literaturtage scheduled for autumn 2026, confirming the close bond between the prize and the Vinschgau Valley literary festival.
