Edition 2025 — Vine Festival

The 2025 edition of the Vine Festival took place in Novoli on Sunday, December 14. The day officially opened the journey toward the Fòcara of Saint Anthony the Abbot with a historical pageant, the laying of the first bundle of vine shoots, and numerous festive moments in the town center, culminating in the inauguration of the Fire Museum.

The 2025 Vine Festival was held in Novoli on Sunday, December 14. At 10:30 AM, the historical pageant with early 20th-century peasant-style carriages and horses, accompanied by a street band, departed from Piazza Aldo Moro toward Piazza Tito Schipa.

At 12:15 PM, at the site destined for the great pyre, the ceremony of laying and blessing the first bundle took place, led by Father Luigi Lezzi. This was followed by the Peasant Aperitif with bread, oil, and wine, and the distribution of small bundles by "Le Donne della Fòcara," while the greasy pole game featured the Guinness World Record team "Madonna di San Fili."

The day concluded at 5:30 PM with the inauguration of the Fire Museum at the former Asilo Tarantini, a new space dedicated to the memory and culture of the Fòcara and the Novoli tradition.
