The 2025 debut

The Villaricca Running debuted on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in the streets of Villaricca, in the province of Naples. The meeting was set at 7:00 AM at the Villa Comunale on Viale della Repubblica, with the start at 8:30 AM from Corso Italia on a city loop to be covered twice, for a total of approximately 9.8 kilometers.

Over 300 athletes crossed the finish line, a significant figure for a first-edition race. Among the men, Adim Ismail (Caivano Runners) won in 33:09, ahead of Marco Vetrano (34:08) and Salvatore Russo (34:40). In the women's field, the success went to Francesca Palomba in 38:21, followed by Filomena Palomba (41:12) and Anna Trinchillo (41:29).

The race took place in the midst of the Festa dei Gigli period, the patronal festivities that enlivened Villaricca from September 7th to 22nd in 2025: a context that brought many spectators along the route and gave the event the character of a true town festival.
