Villaretto Chisone Festival – Saint John Patronal Feast

The 2025 Edition

The Saint John festival in Villaretto, a village in the municipality of Roure, had an exceptional guest in 2025: the Bishop of Pinerolo, Monsignor Derio Olivero, who presided over the Solemn Mass on June 24th. In his homily, the Bishop reminded the congregation that celebrating means "saying thank you and sharing our joy," highlighting the value of community identity.

At the end of the service, the traditional blessing of the bread took place, distributed by young girls in traditional attire, followed by an aperitif and outdoor festivities. It was a day that confirmed the patronal feast as one of the most cherished events for the Chisone Valley community.
