Edition 2025 — Straw Carnival
The 2025 edition of the Viggianello Straw Carnival has confirmed the vitality of a tradition that has coloured the village of the Pollino National Park since 1986. The floats made of willow branches paraded through the historic centre and the Pedali district, accompanied by the Pagliarino mask and the heartfelt 'Processo a Carnevale' ritual, which concluded with the burning of the straw effigy. Music, dancing, and traditional gastronomy provided the backdrop for a deeply participatory festival.
