Fifth edition: archaeology, art, and special guests

Vieste Archeofilm 2025, the fifth edition, took place from June 24 to 26, 2025, at the Swabian-Aragonese Castle of Vieste (FG), starting at 9:15 PM with free admission. The festival opened the calendar of the "Distributed Festival" of Firenze Archeofilm, offering three evenings of documentaries dedicated to archaeology, art, and the environment, with several films paying tribute to the Puglia region.

Guests included archaeologist Giuliano Volpe (professor at the University of Bari and patron of the festival), artist Edoardo Tresoldi, known for his wire mesh reconstruction of the Early Christian Basilica of Siponto, director Lorenzo Scaraggi, and historian Franco Cardini during the closing evening. Among the titles was the preview of "Diario di scavo" by Lorenzo Scaraggi, filmed at the Siponto excavations. In 2025, the audience once again voted to award the Venere Sosandra Prize to the most appreciated film.
