Edition 2025 — Videocittà

The eighth edition of Videocittà took place from July 3 to 6, 2025, at the Gazometro in Rome, featuring an extra day of programming compared to previous years. The theme was the Sun, marking the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis's Canticle of the Creatures: light and energy guided immersive installations, video art, audiovisual performances, and talks.

Videocittà 2025 celebrated the Sun as a symbol of life, light, and energy, in honor of the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures. The main installation, titled Solar, was entrusted to the Roman artist Quayola, produced by Eni and curated by Videocittà in collaboration with The Bentway in Toronto: inspired by the optical phenomenon of crepuscular rays, it reproduced an infinite cycle of digital sunrises and sunsets. For four evenings, the Ostiense Gazometro, in the Municipality of Rome, hosted immersive experiences, original videomapping, augmented reality, audiovisual performances, and talks on the future of digital culture.
