A Carnival with the colours of the world

The 2025 edition of the Vico Equense Carnival chose Piazza Marconi as its only grand stage. The festival opened on Sunday, 2 March, at 11 am with "Waiting for Carnival," a morning designed for those who wanted to immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere by wearing their own costume.

The highlight came on Tuesday, 4 March, from 3.30 pm, with "Art & Fun, the Carnival of Colours and Countries": a show built on scenic walls, masks, Mexican melodies, dancers, confetti cannons, and the Disney characters most loved by children. The chosen theme looked explicitly beyond local borders, mixing the Vico carnival tradition with international suggestions.

The event, promoted by the municipal administration as part of the "Uno spettacolo di Città" project, was included in the 2024/2025 Metropolitan Events Calendar of the Metropolitan City of Naples. Mayor Giuseppe Aiello explained the choice to offer citizens and visitors an even more engaging event, capable of celebrating tradition by bringing music and colours from all over the world to the square. All events took place outdoors and with free entry.
