Edition 2025 — VicAriston

During the 2025 Carnival period, VicAriston debuted in Vicalvi as a costume and performance competition organized by the Pro Loco. The first edition captivated the village audience: the winner was an interpretation of "Balorda nostalgia" performed as Olly, the fresh winner of the Sanremo Music Festival, a perfect symbol of the contest's spirit.

The debut of VicAriston

Carnival 2025 marked the birth of VicAriston in Vicalvi, in the province of Frosinone: the Pro Loco of the Valle di Comino village transformed the traditional masked party into a true performance competition, ironically inspired by the Sanremo Music Festival. Contestants performed in costumes and theatrical acts before the local audience, in a competition where originality was the key factor.

The victory went to the interpretation of "Balorda nostalgia" performed as Olly, the Genoese singer-songwriter who had just won Sanremo 2025: an image that remained in the village's collective memory. The success of the debut convinced the Pro Loco, led by Nicoletta Pesce, to relaunch the format the following year with an even more popular edition.
