Viagrande Short Film Fest

The second edition of the Viagrande Short Film Fest was held on September 12, 2025, at the Franco Battiato Amphitheatre in Viagrande (CT), presented by documentary filmmaker Andrea Vallero and artistic director Lavinia Zammataro. Ten short films were in competition, receiving awards in various categories.

Among the awards presented: La patente by Michelle Montalto (best Sicilian short), Stagnant by Anastasia Licciardello (best under-30 short and Globus Award), Bubbles by Meri Dishnica (best female-directed short, Donna Fenice Association Award), Faustina by Sergio Rojo Osa (historical award), Nobody by Msallam Hdaib (animation award and jury prize), and Al Wadiaa by Hey Krissane (audience award). Guests included singer-songwriter and actor Danilo Arena and actor Totò Cascio, who joined via video call from Belgium, in addition to the screening of the documentary A occhi aperti by Mauro Mancini.
