Vertuti Festival

The 19th edition of the Vertuti Festival was held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Piazza della Croce in Oliveto Sabino, a hamlet of the municipality of Torricella in Sabina, in the province of Rieti. From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the Pro Loco stands served the traditional legume and cereal soup—beans, chickpeas, fava beans, wheat, and corn with wild thyme, seasoned with Sabina oil—accompanied by fava beans and pecorino, tomato macaroni, pork loin, roasted potatoes, sausages, and desserts.

The day was brightened by live music and entertainment, with the opportunity to purchase products from local farms and items from the artisan markets. Lunch was by mandatory reservation by April 28, 2025, confirming the intimate and convivial character of this spring festival in the Rieti-Sabina area.
